In my opinion, consultants are good at demystifying a problem and therefore are “problem solvers”. I am not referring to ones made for college / school projectsīefore getting in to the meat of it, let’s spend a moment trying to figure out what a good consultant does. I am talking about presentations that are made in the corporate / management consulting world. I thought it is perhaps time that I divulge some of my trade secrets and give my audience particularly youngsters aspiring to move into consulting a sneak peek into how good presentations are made. These consulting firms do a great job in structuring of presentation, articulation style & organizing of the deck. They look absolutely elegant and engaging. Have you seen some of the presentations made by the Big4 consulting firms and McKinsey’s / BCGs of the world? Their presentations are a class apart. Therefore, I have become quite adept at “making presentations”. And, presentations are a major conduit / medium of my frequent interactions with clients, business owners, CEOs and senior management team and for that matter any strategy consultant. As a management consultant with an experience of over a decade now my role entails interfacing with clients a great deal. I want to be very frugal in my claim as I know “self-praise is no recommendation”. A lot of people tell me I that I make good presentations.
